Jen Haase

From a very early age, Jen Haase seemed to be a natural planner. She would hold tea parties for her father, friends and stuffed animals alike, and not leave out a single detail, including authentic crumpets to nibble on. As she grew up so did her elaborate planning skills. Everyone knew they could count on Jen to have every detail worked out for any event she was hosting, and most parties that she wasn’t hosting as well. So it seemed pretty natural that she would be a great wedding planner.

After High School, Jen took a job as a wedding cake decorator. She loved decorating and setting up wedding cakes. She attended culinary school at the California Culinary Academy, in San Francisco, and graduated with a Baking and Pastry Certificate. She worked as a pastry chef at AQUA, one of the few five star restaurants in San Francisco, but it didn’t satisfy her. Something was missing. After leaving AQUA she began to consider being a wedding coordinator, but how does one go about doing that?

She moved back down to San Diego, (missed the sunshine the whole time she was away) and looked for a job in a related field. She found one very quickly, working for a wedding florist, Modern Bouquet. She thought that having a background in wedding floral work and setting up weddings would be great knowledge and experience to have as a coordinator. The relationship of Jen and Modern Bouquet began, and continues still today.

In 2006 Jen decided it was time to take the leap and start her own coordinating business, it was official and “Day of” LOVE was born. With all the knowledge of planning, coordinating, wedding cakes, and wedding floral work, and even assisting in catering, Jen was confident she could bring something other coordinators couldn’t, the experience and knowledge that everyone involved in a wedding works together to make a day that the bride and groom will remember as the happiest day of their life!

 

Emily Aguilar

Emily Aguilar and Jen Haase have been lifelong friends and for the past few years Emily has been lead wedding assistant with “Day of” LOVE. Emily has now taken on a new role as Director of Operations and Junior Partner with Jen’s rapidly expanding company. She is a wonderful compliment to “Day of” LOVE with her background in interior design, business management, and her LOVE of weddings! 

 

Aaron Haase

Aaron Haase joined the “Day of” LOVE team to help his sister, Jen, expand her coordinating abilities by providing unsurpassed assistance. He proved to be a perfect fit to the company and a joy to have around. Along with being a perfect wedding assistant, he also loves to assist DJ’s and florists with any extra help they may need throughout the wedding day. Look for him as an up and coming photographer and cinematographer too!
